New to writing things down rather than just keeping them in your head? Here are three tips to get you started:
Write down your event or task as soon as possible
This way, your calendar will be able to do what it is supposed to do: keep you from forgetting things!
Colour coordinate your tasks
I find this helps keep my calendar as easy to read as possible. For example, I may use red for appointments, black for school, blue for work. This prevents each box from becoming a paragraph of black text I will never read.
Add reminders, not just due dates
For big projects or important dates, add reminders in your calendar the week or two beforehand to ensure nothing catches you off guard!
